Drew Provence held the Windy City ThunderBolts (21-30) scoreless for seven innings to boost the Normal CornBelters (27-23) to a 8-5 victory.

Provence allowed five hits, two walks and struck out five.

Ryan Lashley racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Normal CornBelters. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Matt Wickswat ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his eighth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked four and struck out four.
