The Alexandria Blue Anchors (2-9) didn't stand a chance on Monday, as the Willmar Stingers (8-4) captured a blowout 13-5 win at Bill Taunton Stadium.

A home run by Colton Bottomley helped the Willmar Stingers score four runs in the fifth. The Willmar Stingers had three hits in the inning.

Bottomley racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Willmar Stingers.

Kris Goodman was hot from the plate for the Alexandria Blue Anchors. Goodman went 3-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.

Sheldon Lee recorded his first win of the year for the Willmar Stingers. Lee struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.

Corey Fitzgerald was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
