John Havird kept the Rochester Honkers (5-6) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Thunder Bay Border Cats (6-5) beat the Rochester Honkers, 3-1.

Havird allowed three hits, three walks and struck out four.

The Rochester Honkers jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Rochester Honkers were ahead until the seventh inning, but the Thunder Bay Border Cats would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on a three-run double by Jacob Rogers.

Rogers racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. He doubled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Toby Thomas was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
