The Willmar Stingers (4-3) and the Rochester Honkers (4-3) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Willmar Stingers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 3-2 win at Mayo Field.

The Willmar Stingers staved off the Rochester Honkers as the Rochester Honkers were unable to match the Willmar Stingers down the stretch.

The Rochester Honkers scored one run in the fourth on an RBI double by Quinn Carpenter. Still, the Rochester Honkers couldn't draw even.

Michael Suchy put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Willmar Stingers. He doubled in the second and fourth innings.

Steven Brault struck out 13 hitters en route to the the Willmar Stingers win. Brault allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks over 6 2/3 innings.

Brandon Stennis couldn't get it done on the bump for the Rochester Honkers, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
