The Madison Mallards (7-6) jumped out to an early lead on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (5-9) and captured a 14-6 victory on Tuesday at Warner Park.

The game was decided quickly as the Madison Mallards exerted their will early with eight runs in the first three innings.

An RBI double by Mike Fitzgerald and an RBI single by Anthony Cheky in the second inning fueled the Madison Mallards' offense early.

Drew Weeks racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Madison Mallards. He homered in the third inning.

Jackson Slaid racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. He singled in the third and fifth innings and homered in the sixth inning.

Greg Welsh got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out six, walked four and surrendered four hits.

Nick Pettus ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked three and struck out none.
