The Wisconsin Woodchucks fend off the Battle Creek Bombers' late push, hold on 6-5

The Battle Creek Bombers (4-3) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Wisconsin Woodchucks (4-2), and the Battle Creek Bombers lost 6-5 to the Wisconsin Woodchucks after falling behind by four runs in the fourth inning.

The Battle Creek Bombers scored on an error in the sixth inning and a passed ball in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Battle Creek Bombers couldn't finish the comeback.

Tyler Steib racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He doubled in the second inning.

Matt Thomas struck out six, paving the way for a the Wisconsin Woodchucks win. Thomas allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk over five innings.

Derek Hasenbeck put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Battle Creek Bombers. He doubled in the first and sixth innings.

Cam Wysocki (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked five and struck out six.
