The Madison Mallards (2-3) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Green Bay Bullfrogs (4-1) on Monday, as the Madison Mallards fell 7-5 at Joannes Stadium after falling behind by four runs in the seventh inning.

The Madison Mallards scored three runs in the eighth on a groundout by Mike Reuvekamp, , and a groundout by Reuvekamp. Unfortunately, the Madison Mallards weren't able to take the lead back.

Robert Youngdahl racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Green Bay Bullfrogs. He homered in the seventh inning.

Kevin Nutley picked up the win for the Green Bay Bullfrogs. Nutley allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings of work.

A bright spot for the Madison Mallards in the defeat was Luke Staub, who allowed only three runs while striking out six.

Staub (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher.
