The Florence Freedom get late runs to finish off the Lake Erie Crushers, 8-2

It was a tight game until the Florence Freedom (6-4) scored six late runs for the 8-2 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers (3-7) on Tuesday at All Pro Freight Stadium.

David Harris had two extra-base hits for the Florence Freedom. He tripled in the fifth inning, homered in the seventh inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

Brent Choban recorded his second win of the year for the Florence Freedom. He allowed two runs over six innings. Choban struck out six, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Matt Rein ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out eight, and allowed five runs.

The Florence Freedom were sparked by Junior Arrojo and Harris, who teamed up for six hits and five RBIs.
