A walk-off single from Noah Holmes brought home the winning run for the Peninsula Oilers (18-16) in a 3-2 victory over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (16-18) in 11 innings at Coral Seymour Memorial Park on Friday.
It was a good day at the plate for the Peninsula Oilers' Holmes. Holmes went 2-4 and drove in one. He singled in the fifth, tenth, and eleventh innings.
Cody Repenning brought the heat against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots during his outing. The Anchorage Glacier Pilots managed just one hit off of Repenning, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.
Dylan Silva got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Alec Kenilvort was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
