An ace performance by Kyle Porter lifted the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (16-17) to a 2-0 win over the Peninsula Oilers (17-16) on Thursday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.
Porter kept the Peninsula Oilers off the board during his seven innings of work. Porter struck out four and allowed no walks and two hits.
It was a good day at the plate for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots' Brody Russell. Russell went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.
Sam Moore couldn't get it done on the bump for the Peninsula Oilers, taking a loss. He lasted just nine innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
