Micheal Thomas drove in three runs, helping the Matsu Miners (18-11) to a 7-4 victory over the Chugiak Chinooks (5-23) on Tuesday at Loretta French Field.

Tyler Krahn paced the Chugiak Chinooks at the plate. Krahn went 2-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

Cody Ponce improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Matsu Miners. He allowed two runs over six innings. Ponce struck out two, walked one and gave up six hits.

Caleb Dirks ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
