Ben Wylly went 2-3 and hit a home run as the Matsu Miners (17-11) took home a 5-4 victory over the Chugiak Chinooks (5-22) at Hermon Brothers Field on Sunday.
He singled in the third inning and homered in the seventh inning.The Chugiak Chinooks' lineup had no answer for Mitch Warner. Warner gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Steven Keenum got the win, running his season record to 2-0. Keenum struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.
Mike Jeffreys (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
