The Chugiak Chinooks (2-11) continued to pile up the runs on Thursday, scoring seven runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 17-2 landslide win over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (6-5) at Mulcahy Field.
The Chugiak Chinooks scored five runs in the eighth on a groundout by Griffith Roark, , a groundout by Ryan Shackelford, a hit by pitch, an RBI single by Griffin Gum, and an RBI single by Jake Murray.
Gum racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Chugiak Chinooks.
Mike Jeffreys got the win for the Chugiak Chinooks thanks to eight strikeouts. Jeffreys allowed two earned runs on six hits and two walks over 8 1/3 innings.
Sean Adler (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked two and struck out two.
The Chugiak Chinooks hammered the Anchorage Glacier Pilots pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 17 hits, 13 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
