Philip Orr kept the Peninsula Oilers (1-1) off the board during his six innings of work and the Matsu Miners (4-2) beat the Peninsula Oilers, 2-1.

Orr struck out three and allowed three walks and two hits.

A.J. Simcox had a hot bat for the Matsu Miners. Simcox went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the third, sixth, and eleventh innings.

Mitch Warner improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Matsu Miners. Warner struck out eight, walked none and gave up one hit.

Brandon Warner couldn't get it done on the mound for the Peninsula Oilers, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
