Jose Julio-Ruiz collected three hits as the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (14-19) took home a 4-1 victory over the Bridgeport Bluefish (13-19) at Regency Furniture Stadium on Wednesday.
He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs relied on Ian Marshall to eat up innings en route to the win. Marshall allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out five over 6 2/3 innings of work.
The Bridgeport Bluefish's Iggy Suarez was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.
Keith Bilodeau was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
