Yasser Gomez went 2-4, sparking the Camden Riversharks (7-13) to a 5-1 victory over the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (7-14) on Saturday at Campbells Field.

He singled in the second and fourth innings.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs' lineup had no answer for Jon Velasquez. The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs managed just one hit off of Velasquez, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Mike McGuire improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Camden Riversharks. He allowed one run over five innings. McGuire struck out two, walked three and gave up five hits.

Gabriel Hernandez couldn't get it done on the bump for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
