The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (35-17) blew out the Brockton Rox (23-26) 7-1 on Thursday at Campanelli Stadium after pouring on five runs in the seventh inning.

The Brockton Rox couldn't slow down Ryan Siegel, who paced the Marthas Vineyard Sharks with five hits. He singled in the first, third, fifth, seventh, and eighth innings.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks relied on Matt Timoney to eat up innings en route to the win. Timoney allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Dylan Driscoll ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
