Jack Curtis went 2-3, sparking the Brockton Rox (23-23) to a 3-1 victory in seven innings over the Pittsfield Suns (23-25) on Monday at Wahconah Park.

Tyler Sapp kept contact to a minimum, striking out four the Pittsfield Suns batters. Sapp allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over five innings.

Christian Lavoie was effective even in defeat, mowing down eight the Brockton Rox batters and allowing three runs.

Lavoie was charged with his third loss of the year.
