Chris Miller went 2-4 and hit a home run, helping the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (31-15) to a 4-3 victory over the Nashua Silver Knights (30-17) on Saturday at Holman Stadium.
He homered in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning.Matt Timoney picked up the win for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. Timoney pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out four.
Jimmy Ricoy paced the Nashua Silver Knights at the plate. Ricoy went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.
Matt Tulley was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
