The Torrington Titans (18-24) beat the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (15-28) 12-7 on Tuesday at Doyle Field behind Micheal Odenwaelder, who had two extra base hits.
He homered in the fourth inning, singled in the fifth inning, and doubled in the ninth inning.The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs couldn't get anything going so long as Nick Fuller was on the hill. Fuller gave up just three hits, allowed two earned runs, walked three and struck out five during his six innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' Keelan Smithers dominated the Torrington Titans' batters, giving up three runs and striking out nine.
Josh Raymond racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He homered in the sixth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.
Kyle Zaorski couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four.
Odenwaelder, Stephen Eldridge and Ryan Kelly helped lead the Torrington Titans. They combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.
