The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (28-14) continued to pile up the runs on Monday, scoring four runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 13-1 landslide win over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (15-27) at Vineyard Baseball Park.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks scored four runs in the eighth on , a groundout by Brett Holmgren, a solo home run by Donnie Cimino, an RBI single by Chris Miller, and a single by Tad Gold.

Gold had two extra-base hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks.

Bob Carbaugh's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Marthas Vineyard Sharks past the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. Carbaugh allowed one earned run on seven hits and one walk over eight innings.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs were led by Tyler Mikrut's hitting. Mikrut went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.

Connor Colombo ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in six innings, walked one and struck out one.

Miller, Gold, Dylan Tice and Cimino helped lead the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. They combined for 10 hits and six RBIs.
