A magnificent effort by Jake Brandenberger carried the North Shore Navigators (21-18) to a 2-0 win in seven innings over the Nashua Silver Knights (27-14) on Sunday at Holman Stadium.
The North Shore Navigators' Brandenberger kept the Nashua Silver Knights off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up eight.
Tom Hudon was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the North Shore Navigators batters and allowing one run.
Hudon couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Nashua Silver Knights, taking a loss.
