The Marthas Vineyard Sharks (27-14) continued to pile up the runs on Sunday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 18-3 win over the Pittsfield Suns (18-21) at Vineyard Baseball Park.
The Marthas Vineyard Sharks scored nine runs in the third on an RBI double by Donnie Cimino, a two-run single by Chris Miller, a home run by Dylan Tice, and a two-run single by Brett Holmgren.
Tice racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks.
The Marthas Vineyard Sharks relied on Matt Timoney to eat up innings en route to the win. Timoney allowed one earned run, three hits and four walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.
Kyle Singleton had a hot bat for the Pittsfield Suns. Singleton went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.
Harrison Paige (2-1) took the loss for the Pittsfield Suns. He allowed 10 runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out none.
