The Pittsfield Suns (18-20) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the North Shore Navigators (19-18) on Wednesday.

While the Pittsfield Suns led until the tenth inning, the North Shore Navigators worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Derek Hirsch.

Justin Davis allowed one earned run, four hits and five walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Eric Dumas got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Mike Geannelis couldn't get it done on the bump for the Pittsfield Suns, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
