A walk-off two-run blast from Kyle Singleton brought home the winning run for the Pittsfield Suns (14-17) in a 6-4 victory over the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide at Wahconah Park on Tuesday.
Singleton racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Pittsfield Suns. He homered in the ninth inning.
The Pittsfield Suns were led by Gary Tesch's hitting. Tesch went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fourth inning.
A bright spot for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (14-17) in the defeat was Tyler Hill, who allowed only three runs while striking out five.
Adam Whitt recorded his third win of the year for the Pittsfield Suns. Whitt struck out three, walked one and gave up two hits.
Hill ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
