Monday was a great day for Bob Carbaugh, as Carbaugh threw seven scoreless innings to carry the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (23-11) to a 10-1 victory over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs at Doyle Field.
The offense exploded for the the Marthas Vineyard Sharks in the eighth. In the inning the Marthas Vineyard Sharks scored six runs.
It was a good day at the plate for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' Ryan Siegel. Siegel went 4-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth, sixth, and eighth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.
Joey Gaouette (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
