The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (14-16) pounded the Brockton Rox (15-15) on Monday 8-2 at The Ball Park.

The Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide scored three runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Phil Sciretta, a two-run single by Fran Whitten, and a two-run single by Whitten.

Whitten racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide.

The Brockton Rox couldn't get anything going as long as Michael Franzese was pitching. The Brockton Rox managed just one hit off of Franzese, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Apolinar De la Cruz was hot from the plate for the Brockton Rox. De la Cruz went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the first, fourth, and sixth innings.

Joey Royer improved to 1-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. He allowed two runs over six innings. Royer struck out three, walked one and gave up 10 hits.

Alec Palioca ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four.
