The Brockton Rox (14-12) and the Pittsfield Suns (10-14) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Brockton Rox capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 7-3 win at Wahconah Park.

Ryan Tufts led the Brockton Rox's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

The Pittsfield Suns' lineup had no answer for Brendan Doonan. The Pittsfield Suns managed just three hits off of Doonan, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his five innings of work.

A bright spot for the Pittsfield Suns in the defeat was Adam Whitt, who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.

Jon Luthe (0-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
