The Nashua Silver Knights need walk-off sacrifice fly to beat the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, 4-3

A walk-off sacrifice fly from Bryan Toland brought home the winning run for the Nashua Silver Knights (17-6) in a 4-3 victory over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (8-14) in 10 innings at Holman Stadium on Tuesday.

Toland was solid at the plate for the Nashua Silver Knights. Toland went 1-4 and drove in one. He singled in the second inning.

Connor Lyons got on base three times in the game for the Nashua Silver Knights. He singled in the eighth and tenth innings.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs couldn't get anything going as long as Tom Baroni was pitching. Baroni held the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Geoff Fisher improved to 5-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Nashua Silver Knights. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Michael Yerina ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
