The Southern Maryland Nationals (23-21) jumped on the Rockville Express (25-19) early on their way to a 7-3 win on Friday at Montgomery College in seven innings, scoring six runs in the first inning.

Brody Tennant racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Southern Maryland Nationals. He doubled in the first and fourth innings.

Tyler Badamo kept contact to a minimum, striking out eight the Rockville Express batters. Badamo allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk over six innings.

Joshua Baker was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked two and struck out none.
