A walk-off single from R. Norm Donkin brought home the winning run for the Rockville Express (15-11) in a 5-4 victory over the Youses Orioles (14-15) at Montgomery College on Saturday.
Will Kengor paced the Rockville Express at the plate. Kengor went 2-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the ninth inning.
Joshua Baker looked sharp on the mound. The Youses Orioles managed just three hits off of the the Rockville Express' pitcher, who allowed two earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his six innings of work.
Ryan Nelson got a hit in each of his four at bats. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third, seventh, and ninth innings.
John Kovalick improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Rockville Express. He allowed one run over two innings. Kovalick struck out two, walked one and gave up four hits.
DJ Park (0-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
