Bryson Hough kept the Southern Maryland Nationals (14-13) off the board during his six innings of work and the Vienna River Dogs (12-15) beat the Southern Maryland Nationals, 5-1.

Hough struck out one and allowed one walk and two hits.

The Vienna River Dogs were led by Brandon Angus's hitting. Angus went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and ninth innings.

Bryan McHale was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Vienna River Dogs batters and allowing two runs.

McHale (3-2) was the game's losing pitcher.
