Joseph Vanderplas kept the Bethesda Big Train (19-7) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Vienna River Dogs (11-15) beat the Bethesda Big Train, 3-0.

Vanderplas allowed three hits, no walks and struck out two.

Brandon Angus was hot from the plate for the Vienna River Dogs. Angus went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Justin Hepner (1-1) took the loss for the Bethesda Big Train. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
