The Alexandria Aces (12-7) jumped on the Youses Orioles (12-11) early on their way to a 5-3 win on Sunday at Frank Mann Field in seven innings, scoring four runs in the first inning.

Nicholas Collins boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Alexandria Aces. He singled in the first, second, and fourth innings.

The Youses Orioles couldn't get anything going so long as Tyler Brown was on the hill. Brown held the Youses Orioles hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

The Youses Orioles' Garrett Russini was perfect at the dish, going 2-2. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Mitchell Aker recorded his second win of the year for the Alexandria Aces. He allowed one run over four innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Lee Lawler (1-1) took the loss for the Youses Orioles. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
