Shaun Wood went 4-4 at the plate as the Vienna River Dogs (9-10) took home a 7-2 victory over the Presstman Cardinals (8-13) in seven innings at Joe Cannon Stadium on Sunday.
He singled in the first inning, tripled in the second innings, and doubled in the fourth and seventh innings.Bryson Hough got the win for the Vienna River Dogs thanks to six strikeouts. Hough allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over five innings.
Chris Casey paced the Presstman Cardinals at the plate. Casey went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
Jameson McGrane (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
