The Baltimore Redbirds need walk-off single to beat the D.C. Grays, 5-4

A walk-off single from Lee Lipinski brought home the winning run for the Baltimore Redbirds (9-7) in a 5-4 victory over the D.C. Grays (6-6) at Calvert Hall HS on Wednesday.

Lipinski reached base four times. He also drove in one runner. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Ian Rice racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Baltimore Redbirds. He homered in the fifth inning.

The D.C. Grays couldn't get anything going as long as Sean Keselica was pitching. The D.C. Grays managed just two hits off of the the Baltimore Redbirds' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out five during his four innings of work.

Sean Kennedy recorded his first win of the year for the Baltimore Redbirds. He allowed two runs over 2 2/3 innings. Kennedy struck out four, walked one and gave up three hits.

Chris Nee (0-1) took the loss for the D.C. Grays. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
