LaMonte Wade Jr. was cold coming off the bench, but Wade Jr. warmed up quickly as Wade Jr. stroked a key pinch-hit single in the two to lead the Baltimore Redbirds (4-3) to a 7-6 win over the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts (2-3) on Saturday at Calvert Hall HS.

With the Baltimore Redbirds trailing by one, Wade Jr. came to the plate and singled, scoring Luke Czajkowski.

Wade Jr. did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Baltimore Redbirds, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fourth, with five lead changes.

The Baltimore Redbirds staved off the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts as the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts were unable to match the Baltimore Redbirds down the stretch.

The Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts scored two runs in the ninth on a two-run single by Cody Acker. Unfortunately, the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts weren't able to take the lead back.

Carson Bryant got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over 2 2/3 innings. Bryant struck out four, walked two and gave up three hits.

Danny ODonnell (0-1) took the loss for the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
