Blaine Bower went 3-3 at the plate, helping the Alexandria Aces (2-4) to a 7-6 victory over the Presstman Cardinals (3-5) on Friday at Frank Mann Field.

The Presstman Cardinals couldn't get anything going so long as Ben Kennedy was on the hill. Kennedy held the Presstman Cardinals hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

David Kimbrough racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Presstman Cardinals. He doubled in the second innings and singled in the first and fourth innings.

The Alexandria Aces couldn't get anything going as long as Luis Barros was pitching. Barros held the Alexandria Aces hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.

Chris Casey ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
