The Youses Orioles (1-0) pounded the Herndon Braves (0-1) on Sunday 8-1 at Alan McCullock Field in seven innings.

A three-run home run by Brian Ruditys and an RBI double by James Bunn helped the Youses Orioles score four runs in the fourth. The Youses Orioles had three hits in the inning.

The Herndon Braves jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Herndon Braves were up until the fourth inning, but the Youses Orioles had other plans for the final outcome, taking the lead back on a three-run home run by Ruditys.

Ruditys racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Youses Orioles.

Bobby Ruse brought the heat against the Herndon Braves during his outing. The Herndon Braves managed just one hit off of the the Youses Orioles' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Conor LeBlanc improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Youses Orioles. He allowed one run over four innings. He struck out seven, walked two and surrendered three hits.

Jack Falvey (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
