Jesse Gutierrez brought home the go-ahead run to give the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (2-2) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs hung on to beat the Long Island Ducks (2-2) 4-3 on Saturday.

With the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs trailing by one in the eighth inning, Gutierrez came to the plate and homered, bringing home Casey Benjamin.

Gutierrez racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He homered in the eighth inning.

Jeremy Owens racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Dan Reichert brought the heat against the Long Island Ducks during his outing. Reichert gave up just three hits, allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out three during his six innings of work.

Brandon Sing racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Long Island Ducks. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.
