A walk-off single from Abel Nieves brought home the winning run for the Joliet Slammers (32-42) in a 5-4 victory over the Road Warriors (3-11) at Silver Cross Field on Wednesday.

Nieves reached base two times in the game for the Joliet Slammers. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the ninth inning.

Patrick Norris paced the Joliet Slammers at the plate. Norris went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the ninth inning.
