Monday was a great day for Nick Schulz, as he hit two home runs to carry the Licking County Settlers (20-14) to a 9-1 victory over the Hamilton Joes (11-22) at Foundation Field.

The Licking County Settlers blew out the Hamilton Joes thanks to eight hits, including zero extra base hits. The Licking County Settlers scored two runs in the eighth on an RBI single by Alex Johnson and an RBI single by Johnson.

David Koll racked up seven strikeouts in the the Licking County Settlers win. Koll allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over seven innings.

The Hamilton Joes were led by a flawless day at the dish by Austin Downing, who went 3-3 against the Licking County Settlers' pitching. He singled in the third, sixth, and eighth innings.

Ryan Riga was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
