The Haysville Heat (3-1) and the El Dorado Broncos (3-2) traded the lead five times on Wednesday, but the Haysville Heat ended up on top with a 7-5 win over the El Dorado Broncos.

The Haysville Heat held off the El Dorado Broncos, as the El Dorado Broncos were unable to overcome a five-run eighth inning deficit.

The El Dorado Broncos scored three runs in the eighth on a two-run double by Mitch Osburn and a groundout by Brandon Lawrence. Despite their efforts, the El Dorado Broncos couldn't get over the hump.

Walker Davidson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Haysville Heat. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Drew Rainey recorded his first win of the year for the Haysville Heat. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Gil Rehwinkel (0-1) took the loss for the El Dorado Broncos. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
