The So. Ohio Copperheads (19-15) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring five runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 13-0 win over the Cincinnati Steam (23-13) at Bob Wren Stadium.
The So. Ohio Copperheads scored six runs in the fifth on a single by Matt Glomb, a hit by pitch, an RBI single by Blaise Salter, a sacrifice fly by Dan Schmidt, a solo home run by Aaron Novak, and a two-run single by Ben Otto.
Glomb racked up four RBIs on two hits for the So. Ohio Copperheads.
Michael Mestdagh brought the heat against the Cincinnati Steam during his outing. The Cincinnati Steam managed just two hits off of the the So. Ohio Copperheads' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his five innings of work.
