Jeff Cowan went 2-3, helping the Barrie Baycats (19-15) to a 6-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs (16-16) on Thursday at Schmidt and Shaw Stadium.

Nick Fogarty picked up the win for the Barrie Baycats. Fogarty pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, three hits and three walks while striking out four.

Aaron Guinn had a hot bat for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Guinn went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Marek Deska ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked five and struck out six.
