The Kitchener Panthers fall 8-2 at the hands of the Brantford Red Sox

The Kitchener Panthers (8-10) didn't put up much of a fight on Friday, as the Brantford Red Sox (16-3) cruised to a blowout 8-2 win at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

The Brantford Red Sox scored four runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Lee Delfino, a two-run double by Kevin Hinton, a double by Tyler Patzalek, and a sacrifice fly by Tyler Burnell.

Scott Thorman racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Brantford Red Sox. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Nathan Forer got the win for the Brantford Red Sox thanks to eight strikeouts. Forer allowed two earned runs on five hits and no walks over six innings.

Jeff Pietraszko did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Kitchener Panthers, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.

Kyle McKay was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
