A magnificent effort by Logan Shaftner hoisted the Lexington Hustlers (13-16) to a 15-0 win over the Lake Erie Monarchs on Friday at Western Hills HS.

Shaftner kept the Lake Erie Monarchs (15-14) off the board during his eight innings of work. Shaftner struck out six and allowed no walks and three hits.

The Lexington Hustlers didn't let up, as they kept racking up runs until the end. The Lexington Hustlers scored six runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. The Lexington Hustlers scored five runs in the fourth on , a single by Matt Phipps, an error, an error, and an error.

Sam Kidd reached base five times. He scored three runs and had two RBIs. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Mike Dolloff ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out three.
