The West Virginia ACHA D2 team has won the ACC hockey championship, defeating the Charlotte 49ers 5-0. The Mountaineers advanced to the final after a 2-1 win against the Georgetown Hoyas.

A three-goal second period helped WVU to an easy victory, as Nathan Panchisin and Alex Mohardt both scored two goals, with Griffin Knarr getting the shutout after winning Friday's overtime game against Georgetown and Mark Stankewiicz was named as the game's MVP. Congrats to the team!
