Forward Nate Jaramillo is set to become another Colorado native that returns home for the 2022-23 season with the Eagles.

“I chose to play for the Eagles because of their winning culture and the way they play the game,” Jaramillo said.

Jaramillo becomes the fourth Colorado product to join the Eagles roster for the upcoming season and Haddon believes that Jaramillo will fit right in.

“Nate will fit in great with our group and is a great addition to our organization,” Haddon remarked.

Jaramillo began his hockey journey in familiar circles in Colorado, playing in the Hyland Hills youth program before a year of high school hockey at Monarch High School in Louisville, CO, just outside of Denver.

The gradual climb resulted in a rookie campaign with Wisconsin Rapids in the Midwest West Division in 2021-22. The 5’9, 174-lb forward dressed in 42 regular season games and 5 playoff games, scoring 5 points (3-2-5). Jaramillo is excited to spend the season with the Eagles and further grow his game.

“My personal goal is to develop as a player and move to the next level,” Jaramillo explained.

“I am a skilled player that effectively uses my speed, skill, and hockey IQ,” he added.

Head Coach/General Manager Steve Haddon saw the overall profile and potential in the forward, combined with his work ethic, and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to add the Broomfield, CO product.

“Nate is a player that works hard on and off the ice at all times. He’s very smart and has that natural hockey sense,” Haddon relayed.

Owing to the Eagles’ winning culture and success over the past two seasons in the USPHL, Jaramillo made clear his hopes for the season.

“My team goal is to win a national championship,” Jaramillo concluded.

Entering their 10th season of existence, the Eagles have graduated over 100 players to college commitments in the United States (NCAA) and Canada (U-Sports) in the premier Tier 2 developmental junior league in the USA, as well as professional contracts abroad. Eagles’ alumni dot the hockey landscape; playing in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), Poland and Sweden.
