Date: Aug 12, 2021
The Port Hope Panthers are pleased to announce today that the hockey club has signed 2003-born goaltender Cameron Johnston (Oshawa, ON) to a Standard Player Agreement for the 2020-2021 PJHL season. Last season with the Oshawa Generals Midget team Cameron posted a 3.73 Goals Against Average (GAA) in 21 games, and was a clutch performer, allowing a GAA of just 2.53 in 7 playoff contests.
"We're excited to add Cameron to our program, and to work with him this season," said General Manager Alex Guiney on the signing. "Cameron is a promising young goaltender who moves very well, and with his big frame is tough to beat. He's a dedicated player and a quality person. We're looking forward to him joining our tandem in Port Hope and watching him develop."
The Panthers look forward to introducing Cameron to our fans this season. For more updates and roster moves be sure to subscribe to our news feed by clicking the subscribe button, as well as follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
